As part of recently announced Governance Reforms, Australian Red Cross will be removing all membership fees and moving to a co-ordinated, once a year renewal process in June for all Members. These positive steps will ensure anyone passionate about making a humanitarian impact can join and easily remain a member of Australian Red Cross.

The Governance Reforms are anticipated to come into effect on 1 July 2025 (subject to approval from Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia). We have removed membership fees during this interim period, and you can now join Australian Red Cross free of charge.

Australian Red Cross members must comply with the Royal Charter, Rules, Regulations, any applicable policies and the Fundamental Principles.
