Legal Aid ACT
Legal Aid ACT helps people in the ACT with their legal problems, especially people who are socially or economically disadvantaged. They can help in criminal law, family law and some civil law matters.
Legal Aid ACT Helpline is a free and confidential phone service that can provide you with legal information and can organise an appointment for you to get free legal advice.

Women’s Legal Centre ACT
Women’s Legal Centre ACT provides free legal help to women in low-paid employment who are experiencing problems at work.
They give legal assistance to women who have been treated unfairly at work including women who have been:
- Fired from work unfairly
- Experienced discrimination at work
- Underpaid or not paid properly
- Sexually harassed
- Denied access to leave or other entitlements
- Denied access to flexible working arrangements
- Bullied at work

Fair Work Ombudsman
The Fair Work Ombudsman is here to help you.
The Fair Work Ombudsman is an Australian Government agency that regulates Australian workplaces.
The Fair Work Ombudsman provides free advice and assistance to all workers to help them understand their rights and, can help fix workplace problems.
You can't get into trouble or have your visa cancelled for contacting them to ask for information about your pay or other workplace rights.
The Fair Work Ombudsman has information and resources in over 30 languages to help people understand their workplace rights and obligations in Australia.
