It is important that the individual has provided informed consent before a referral is made. See steps in making a referral.
The Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission provides free and confidential legal information, referral to other helpful services and legal advice appointments for most legal problems in the NT.
Legal Aid Helpline operators will talk with a person about the type of problem they need help with and connect them to the correct office at Legal Aid to make an appointment. Legal Aid provides legal advice over the phone, or in person if that is preferred.

The Fair Work Ombudsman is an Australian Government agency that regulates Australian workplaces.
Employees can't get into trouble or have their visa cancelled for contacting them to ask for information about their pay or other workplace rights.
