Australian Red Cross has appointed Cindy Batchelor as its new Deputy CEO.
Ms Batchelor previously spent almost 16 years at NAB progressing from part-time HR Consultant to Executive General Manager of NAB Business.
She has also previously been a Non-Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia – an organisation that provides one on one mentoring support to vulnerable youth.
“The purpose of the Deputy CEO role is to guide the execution of our strategy, oversee our growth agenda, and help drive transformation – and that’s the first week!” said CEO, Kym Pfitzner.
“Cindy has a unique skillset in leading large complex businesses and delivering organisational transformation. It’s based on creating a compelling vision and leading change through the engagement of people – we were really impressed,” said Mr Pfitzner.
“I’m delighted to join Australian Red Cross and add my capability and passion to this amazing organisation. The mission, of supporting people in vulnerable situations, spoke to me as a leader,” said Ms Batchelor.
“The world we live in is complex and challenging. Now more than even there is a need to support people in the most vulnerable situations. This is the work of Australian Red Cross and the Red Cross movement globally and I’m thrilled to be here,” she said.
Ms Batchelor starts in the role this week.
