Australian Red Cross is building a better society based on people helping people. We save lives and support people before and after disasters strike. We work to alleviate suffering during wars and conflict and promote the laws of war. And we work to assist our most vulnerable community members – no matter their circumstances. Funds raised through first aid and mental health go towards supporting our humanitarian goals.

Australian Red Cross is a registered training organisation that provides nationally recognised courses in First Aid and Mental Health and supplies quality first aid kits and defibrillators.
Without the correct First Aid, a simple injury can turn into something serious. Learning First Aid doesn't just help facilitate recovery, it helps save lives. Please keep your training up-to-date: The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that CPR training needs to be refreshed every 12 months and First Aid training needs to be refreshed every 3 years.
Your first aid certificate remains current for 3 years. Australian Red Cross will issue a reminder 3 months prior to your certificate renewal date, so if your certification is still within 3 years, the course you can select is Provide First Aid 1 Day or Provide First Aid Blended (eLearning + 4 hours F2F).
Either of these courses will allow you to renew your accreditation.
Provide First Aid Blended includes mandatory prior eLearning + 4 hours in-the-classroom training.
Provide First Aid (1 day) does not include prior eLearning, and in-the-classroom time is 9:30am – 4:00pm.
These are the same courses, which cover the same content. You will receive a statement of attainment for HLTAID011 on successful completion of each course. The difference is how you prefer to learn.
A Blended course comprises eLearning modules and a practical assessment (in-the-classroom training). If you are enrolled into a Blended course, you must complete your eLearning modules prior to attending the practical assessment.
Our team is available to assist during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm AEST. You can contact our team with your enquiry via email, commercialtscorporate@redcross.org.au and someone will respond within 2 business days.
Everyone doing nationally recognised training, such as a Red Cross first aid course offered here, needs to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
