Join our National Solicitor Network 

For many years, Red Cross has run our gifts in Wills program with the assistance of reputable law firms. The role of our National Solicitor Network is to provide legal services and Wills advice to our community of supporters, at a reduced cost of $165 per simple Will. Should our referrals have additional provisions outside of the simple Will, these are to be negotiated on your terms.  

There are many benefits of the Network that our existing members have experienced. If you would like to be a part of our National Solicitor Network or would like more information, we’d love to hear from you.

Information for Solicitors 

Thank you for ensuring that a gift in a Will to Australian Red Cross is executed correctly for your client. 

Our recommended wording 

Percentage of estate 
“ I give to Australian Red Cross Society (ABN 50 169 561 394), for its general purposes, free of all duties, ________% of my residuary estate for which an authorised receipt from Australian Red Cross will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.” 

Residual gift 
“ I give to Australian Red Cross (ABN 50 169 561 394), for its general purposes, free of all duties, the whole of the residue of my estate for which an authorised receipt from Australian Red Cross will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.” 

Specific Sum 
“ I give to Australian Red Cross (ABN 50 169 561 394), for its general purposes, free of all duties, the sum of $_________ for which an authorised receipt from Australian Red Cross will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.” 

Specific Item 
“ I give to Australian Red Cross (ABN 50 169 561 394), for its general purposes, free of all duties, my________________ for which an authorised receipt from Australian Red Cross will be a sufficient discharge for the executor(s) or trustee.” 

Notify Red Cross 

If you client allows, we would love to be notified of bequests. Your notification helps us: 

• to welcome them into our honoured group of supporters within our Red Cross family: the Friends of Red Cross  
• allows us to personalise all communication with them and focus on programs of interest 
• enables us to invite them to events for face-to-face updates on our programs

Information for executors 

If you are the executor or legal representative of an estate in which a gift has been left to Australian Red Cross, we would be grateful if you can assist us in the following ways:  

1. Notify us of the gift as soon as possible so that we can amend our records to ensure that future communications are not sent out in the name of the supporter.  
2. Please forward a copy of Will and probate and let us know of further information that you require from us to administer the gift.  
3. If possible, let us know about the life and reasons behind the gift. We would appreciate the opportunity to sincerely thank family and loved ones as appropriate.
