Australian Emergency Fund

Australian Red Cross emergency teams are preparing to respond as Tropical Cyclone Alfred approaches southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales, bringing damaging winds, storms, and heavy rainfall.

Emergency kits are pre-positioned, and our volunteers across the City of Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and the City of Moreton Bay, Northern Rivers, Tweed and Byron are ready to assist in evacuation centres and provide psychological first aid.

Now is the time to prepare—visit http://redcross.org.au/prepare for emergency plans, checklists, and tips for talking to children about emergencies.

We’re closely monitoring the cyclone's path and stand ready to help.
