The importance of philanthropic support

Australian Red Cross relies on the generosity of individual philanthropists together with trusts, foundations, corporate and private ancillary funds (PAFs) to deliver innovative programs and services that address the needs of the most vulnerable people and communities across Australia and Asia Pacific.

Our philanthropic partners play a vital role in supporting Red Cross programs including:

• disaster preparedness, relief and recovery 
• support to young parents
• emergency relief/material aid for asylum seekers
• maternal and child health in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities 
• support for prisoners and their families.
