Energizer is a new Australian Red Cross National Unity Partner, supporting Red Cross initiatives including Disaster Relief and Recovery.
Energizer's 'Be Prepared' campaign encourages a proactive approach to changing 9V batteries in smoke alarms to keep families safe. It joins with Australian Red Cross to encourage a similar approach to disaster preparation.
Energizer is donating $1 from specially marked 9V battery packs to Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery, which enables Red Cross emergency services teams to respond as soon as disasters occur in Australia and around the world. The funding will help Red Cross build capacity in its Emergency Services operations.
The Energizer partnership has a dual focus. In addition to contributing funds to disaster relief and recovery efforts, the partnership will help Red Cross inform and education communities across Australia directly about disaster preparedness and the Emergency Services operations. Being prepared for an emergency can help people get back on their feet more quickly when one occurs.
